![]() Like you I love and have a decent collection of concerts and music in 5.1 and high res on DVD, DVD Audio, Blu Ray and SACD. ![]() I know that was a long story, but thanks for any answers in advance. I also don’t trust sites that you have to pay for to download 5.1 files to a thumb drive or stick, since I tried one, paid 1 month to get the download and got ripped off. Does anyone know an easier way to play my discs in the new cars? Do they make external players that can plug in to a USB port and play them that way? Or am I only regulated to play them on my home system from now on? I’d really appreciate someone that may have a good path forward to finding a good answer. It looks like a huge pain in the ass to do this. ![]() I have heard I could use the stick to play these files if I could only get the way to download the files from the physical media. Now the HUGE problem is that they took out the disc player in the new models of the new cars. Now I upgraded the car and it’s an ELS system, which claims to have the capability to play surround music. My question is this: I once owned a car that played DVD Audio and enjoyed the surround mixes immensely. I took a sabbatical on buying them after the initial crunch in the early 2010’s, but have been buying them since the Steven Wilson remixes started coming out. I do own a good amount that came out since then. I enjoy and have enjoyed the 5.1 surround DVD’s and Blu Rays that have been coming out since the early 2000’s.
